Because students are not able to take the SAT in mainland China, the Admission Office will consider applications without SAT scores from first-year applicants who are Chinese citizens and currently study at institutions in mainland China. However, prospective students should be aware that, in the past few years, the most competitive applicants from mainland China have submitted SAT scores with their applications. Therefore, we encourage students from China to take the SAT if it is feasible to do so.
